The SPATTER CURE SC-07 is an anti spatter compound cum flux recently developed by Sri M.M.BANDYOPADHAYAY, a well known Metallurgist with his several years of experience in the Metallurgical industries. The spatters developed during welding is a teething problem for the welding professionals as the cleaning of these spatters by chipping and grinding operations is not only HAZARADOUS but also cost effective.

At the same time the quality of the welded joints are largely hampered.Though a number of techniques have been developed in the other parts of the world to get rid of the problems regarding spatters but nothing was effective and thus the problem continued.Another problem persists during welding - that is BLOW HOLES AND POROSITY besides NON METALLIC INCLUSIONS in the welded joints.In India too,our Steel Fabricators had to accept these problems till Spatter Cure SC-07 came into existence.
Realising these genuine pronblems Sri Bandyopadhay took up the challenge and observed that a coating of a compound which can withstand the temperature of hot spatters generated during welding can serve as a protective measure for the spatters.

At the same time if the coating also serves as a flux to take care the problems can be taken care easily. Accordingly he invented the above said compound recently to serve as an anti spatter compound cum flux that can be applied easily in the welding zone to take care all the above problems.

This new conception in welding technology has been well taken by Welding Research Institute, Trichy;RDSO, Luchnow;EIL etc.and accordingly a number of Organisations both from public as well as private sectors from all over India have introduced this new conception and have been using this compound regularly to avail the benfit of the compound. Over and above the compound is effective in many ways, as experienced by the Industries; such as more depth and penetration, reduced heat loss etc.
   
It has been observed that this compound is useful to maintain the NORMS of ISO 1400 Standardparticularly at the working place. The consumption of SPATTER CURE SC-07 is regularly increasing from different industries.
